Hairly Dissapointed :(!

Batiste - Dry Shampoo
Coconut & Exotic Tropical

So everyone has those days when they wake up and their hair is not feeling as nourished as it could be, you are in a rush and do not have time to re-wash it (even though it was only done the night before).. In cases like these I turn to the good old fashioned method of baby powder! This can get a bit messy - especially when I am already in my work clothes and drop baby powder all over myself!

I was in Asda I decided to buy some Batiste Dry Shampoo (Coconut & Exotic Tropical), as I have heard nothing but good things about this stuff and I know that a lot of people use it.

It kills me to say that I am really disappointed with this purchase! :( I really, really wanted this product to work, but it just didn't.

It made my hair feel more dirty than it did clean and made it feel extremely dry and limp! It also turned my hair a very dull, greyish colour!

I thought the problems I was having may have been down to my very dark brown hair colour, so I used my boyfriend as a bit of a guinea pig to see how it worked on him (much to his dismay :-P)! He has naturally bright, beach blonde hair and it did exactly the same to him! It made his hair feel very rough and made the colour so dull, and again grey looking!

I have heard nothing but good things about this product, but I guess it just isn't for me! I would love to hear your thoughts on it and your experiences if you have ever used it!

Thank you for reading my post! Please let me know if you have any recommendations for my next one!

  1. To be honest - i've always stayed away from dry shampoo's, my hair really dislikes them all. I get that greyish issue too!

    1. I used to use Lee Stafford which was really good, but as you can imagine it was pretty expensive to keep buying! Will have to carry on with my good old baby powder!!

  3. well in that case , serum works if shampoo doesn't work..some times hair do require proper care and wash. your intake is most important than oiling your hair once in a week if you really got dry hair..that works for me, "oiling"

  7. I've never tried that specific one, but I have been through LOADS of dry shampoos over the years and the plain old boring Batiste is the only one I've found that actually works so far (wether I have red or brown hair or even rainbow). Maybe it's a fluke.
    Lovely blog though :D
